Schoharie Colonial Heritage Association has been able to support and maintain two museums--the 1743 Palatine Museum, the oldest house in Schoharie County, and the Schoharie Valley Railroad museum. Both are open from Memorial Day thru Columbus Day on weekends from 12-4. Other showings can be made by appointment for school groups, bus tours, and private showings.

The Antiques in Schoharie Fall Show was the first fund-raiser for SCHA. It started 45 years ago as a one-day show in the Mill Building on Depot Lane with 12 dealers. The Schoharie Valley Railroad complex had just been purchased and this non-for-profit group began its task of raising money to restore and promote this important part of Schoharie's history. The Holiday Bazaar began the next year as an outlet for the crafters in the area. Held every November, this show not only supports the crafters, but is another source of revenue for SCHA. Now in its 44th year and still going strong, it has become something that folks look forward to. The quality of the show is the draw, and the three days of holiday shopping fill the building and the community with visitors from all over.
